After thoughts of assessment

One of the main facts I have noticed after the assessment was; I need to strength their mentality as well as physical side.
I was focusing on their practical side and I completely forgot to support their mental side.
I have realised this problem by witnessing them having a nervous break down at the assessment, and that was one of the avoidable mistakes.

Performers can only learn via experience. And, I believe my advantage as a teacher is my professional experience. So I can provide more than what dance text books can teach them. I also try to approach differently. However, these mistakes are so common to professionals, therefore I did not even consider discussing with my students. That was totally my fault.
Us, professionals know how to cover the mistakes and sudden change of situation on stage. These come from the experience and mental preparation.
My students did not have enough stage experience for it. And, i did not have enough teaching experience to support them correctly.

More I teach, more I realise how much I do not know my profession. And, some times that worry, and up set me.
To improve as a teacher, and prevent making mistakes as a teacher, I have asked my friend, who is a teacher too, to come and observe my lessons today.
I wonder what comments I will receive later.
To make my self a better teacher, I need to know my self better for every one.

Planning of interview and discussion for my inquiry.

Since I have started teaching at the college, I have begun to noticed how rapidly world has changed.

I am interested in how web 2.0 changed dance world by comparing the difference between current students and former students; the way of working toward their inquiry and assessments.

I am planning to have a discussion with my students and also the teachers who has more experience of working at the college.

1, How did students research style has changed, and when.

2, How did that effect on their result and the process of inquiry?

3, Pros and Cons of using Web 2.0 for their inquiry.

4, How Web 2.0 and SNS effect on the organisation? i.e students, teachers, and a whole musical thetre department. Pros and Cons of it.
